Paul John Zuker, Jr., age 43, of Manassas, Va., departed this world on February 13, 2009. PJ was born on July 31, 1965. He grew up in Nokesville, Va. and graduated from BDHS in 1983. He was an avid water-skier and hunter until a tragic accident in 1983 left him a quadriplegic. A celebration of PJ's life was held on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 11:30 am in Manassas, Virginia. PJs wishes were to be cremated and scattered on the lake in Pennsylvania where he spent summers water-skiing as a child. As a teen-ager, PJ was a fearless barefoot water-skier. His family will reunite him with this lake at a later date. PJ spent the last 26 years of his life as a quadriplegic; relying on an electric wheelchair for mobility. He also had a strong love for children and dreamed of finding a way to help kids. In lieu of flowers, we request donations be made in Pauls memory to ChairScholars Foundation, Inc. to provide a college scholarship to a student with a spinal cord injury. ChairScholars is a 4-star rated charity with more than 94% of all donations going directly to scholarships. To date, ChairScholars has helped 591 wheelchair bound kids obtain a college education.
